He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Eckes and Leona Eckes (Boehnig); his sisters, Marlene Lapinski and Nancy Felch; and his stepson Jack Rose (Diane Giese).
He is survived by: his son Richard Eckes (Sandra) of Beaver Dam; his grandsons, Brandon Eckes (Monica), Dustin Eckes and Angel De La Cruz; his great grandchildren, Amaria Jean and Rylinn Paige Eckes; his stepdaughter Barb Rosenthal (Jay) of Fond du Lac; his siblings, Darrell Eckes (Aloha) of Wausau, Diane Richards of Sheboygan and Kathy Hogan of Sheboygan; and his sister-in-law Joan Eckes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home (N7199 N Crystal Lake Rd, Beaver Dam, WI 53916). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Cemetery Oakwood Cemetery-Beaver Dam (W8285 State Rd 33, Beaver Dam, WI 53916).
