She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Arthur Ess and Gladys Parrish Van Ess; her children, Judith Gerrits, William Gerrits (Deb), Christopher Gerrits and Thomas Gerrits (Peg); her grandchildren, Scott Brandsma (Barb), Craig Brandsma, Peter Brandsma (Shelby), Emily Yahraus (Mark), Dean Hohl (Jennifer), Dustin Gerrits (Heidi), Angie Gerrits Loomans, Bree Gunnink (Jeff), Robert Gerrits, Chris Bloor, John Gerrits (Edina), Melanie Gerrits and Adam Gerrits; her sister Marilynn May (William); her son Robert Gerrits; and her grandson Aaron Gerrits. She was also cherished by 21 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial Contributions. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a memorial be made out to "The Aaron Gerrits Rhemody Foundation" or Heartland Hospice Care.
