He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerhard Groth and Frieda Groth (Krueger); his son Gary Groth; his great grandchild Ruby Kozar; and his sisters, Esther and Gertrude Kaschner (Kenneth).
He is survived by: his wife Lois; his daughters, Sandra Sallach (Timothy) of Oakfield, Sally Wehner (Robert) of Hubertus and Vicki O'Shea (Michael) of Coloma; his grandchildren, Stephen Sallach (Valori), Heidi Lorfeld (Matthew), Natalie Kozar (Ben), Paula Chabba (Fouad), Daniel Sallach (Mindy Mason), Kelley Cybela, Chloe Calabrese (Carmine), Jeremy O'Shea (Melissa Meyer), Scott O'Shea and Bruce O'Shea (Kyra); and his sister-in-law Inez Triebensee (Bob). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pella Lutheran Church.
