She was predeceased by: her parents, Claus Holstein and Gertrude Aalsma Holstein; her husband Jerry Smits; and her brother Arnold Holstein. She is survived by: her children, Lynnae Shaw (Mitch) and Jason Smits; her grandchildren, Jordon Shaw (Elizabeth), Mason, Kaidon, Dawson Shaw, Kiarra Smits and Jason Smits II; her brother Cliff Holstein (Twila); and her sister-in-law Karen Brandenburg (Floyd). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
