He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Jager and Jennie De Jager; his wife Bessie De Jager (Douma); and his siblings, Dirk DeJager, Eldon De Jager, Frank De Jager, Jitske and Aneke.
He is survived by: his children, Vivian Josephson, Evonne Ganz (Mike), Vickie De Jager, Tony De Jager (Theresa) and Robert De Jager (Linda); his siblings, John De Jager (Arlene), Etta Schregardus and Gertrude Mulder; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy De Jager, Andrew Douma (Tessie), Harvey Douma and Shirley Douma. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
