He was predeceased by: his pets, Kodiak and Sadie; his stepfather Myron Franke; his grandparents, Leland Zuehlke, Donald and Erma Franke; and his aunt Brenda Borowski.
He is survived by: his parents, Denise Gassner (Lee) and Lester Zuehlke (Linda); his brother Mike Zuehlke (Gina); his nephews, Collin (Kayla), Deszion and Linden Zuehlke; his stepbrother Jeremy Gassner (Tammy); and his grandparents, Marion Zuehlke, Sharon Stripes and Edward Kenney (Jaci). He is also survived by relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor towards a memorial in Joe's name.
