He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Held and Louise Held; his sister Joanne Steger; his brothers-in-law, Eugene Steger, Robert Whipple and Everett Strehmel; his niece Brenda Schley; and his nephew Brian Hagen Jr..
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Mary Swiertz, Kimberly Buelow-Fay (Jimmy) of Ripon and Lisa Gerondale (Todd) of Fort Atkinson; and his siblings, Kelven, Elden, Annabelle, Enzlie, Kash, Jameson, Ariana, Jack, Nathan and Nicholas. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Joe's name to the Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope (400 Cty Rd K, Fond du Lac WI 54937).
