It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jane Fay of Waupun, Wisconsin, who passed away at the age of 86, on March 11, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilder Fay and Martha Fay (Johnson); her husband Dwayne Schmaltz of Waupun; her sister Joanna Fay; and her sister-in-law Ginger Fay.

She is survived by: her siblings, Marcia Dempsey (Robert), Linda West, Jackie Fay, Robert Fay (Nina), James Fay and Thomas Fay; her cousin Mardel Robinson (Gary); and her stepchildren, Jon Schmaltz (Mary), Gretchen Pluim (Mark), William Schmaltz (Sharon) and Holly Narloch (Jerome). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Edgewood Community Church in Waupun or a charity of your choice in memory of Jane Fay.

“I was so sorry to read of Jane’s passing. She was such a lovely lady. When I met Jane at Edgewood Church we realized just how small the world really is. I am originally from DeKalb and of course I knew Fay’s BBQ. I hadn’t seen Jane in quite a while, as we moved away and no longer attend Edgewood, I know that she will be missed.
