She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Haanpaa and Vienna Haanpaa (Nahkala); her husband Bill Byron; and her daughter Brenda Byron Janke of Wausau. She is survived by: her brother Jack Alexander (Trish) of Eveleth, MN; her sister-in-law Jackie Carlson of Embarrass, MN; her son Kraig Byron (Kathy); her grandchildren, Chloe Byron of Oregon, WI and Colin Byron of Milwaukee, WI; her son Lance Byron (Alexia) of Manuel Antonio; her son-in-law James Janke of Wausau; her granddaughters, Emma Buckli (Cody) of Wausau and Lana Robertson (Evan) of Pensacola; and her nieces and nephews, Jason Alexander (Julia) of London, Michael Carlson (Pepper), Laurie Kess (Paul), Beth Haasl (Andy), Dave Carlson (Pam) and Tim Carlson.

A Celebration of Life will be held once there is widespread distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine.
