He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zande and Henrietta Boerson Vande Zande; his siblings, Ruby Braun, Jessie Vanden Berg, Helen Vande Zande and Dave Vande Zande; his nephew Jon Vanden Berg; and his niece Jane Nitschke.
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Vanden Berg; his children, Kathy Fairbanks (Merlon) of Burke, SD, Larry (Mary) of Waupun, Jack (Carrie) of Sun City, AZ, Tom (Cherie) of Rosendale and Amy Tankovich (Joe) of Longmont, CO; his grandchildren, Marcy Fairbanks, Adam, Nathan, Owen, Ben, Hattie and Meredith Vande Zande; his great grandchild Grayson; and his sisters, LaVerne Vande Zande and Betty Bruins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
