He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry T. Zande and Josie Tenpas Vande Zande; his former wife Betty Nyhuis; his brothers, Lauren Vande Zande (Jean) and Glenn Vande Zande (Marjorie); his son-in-law David Rabe; and his brother-in-law Marvin Bos.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Vande Zande of Waupun; his daughters, Clarice Rabe of Waupun, Brenda Merhalski (Paul) of Waupun, Lacinda Waehler of Oshkosh and JoJean DeMaa (Richard) of Waupun; his sister Lois Bos of Waupun; and his stepchildren, Cindy DeVries (Allan) of Friesland and Shelley Wiersma (Kevin) of Friesland. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
