He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Mecklenberg and Marcella Prust Mecklenberg; his wife Cil; his brother Donald Mecklenberg; and his brother-in-law John Ruske.
He is survived by: his former spouse Caecilia Koehler; his children, Bob Mecklenberg (Pam) of Burnett and Sharon Suelflow (Philip Peters) of Waupun; his siblings, Warren Mecklenberg (Judy) and Sandy Lang (Paul); and his sisters-in-law, Georgia Mecklenberg, Clem Koehler (Diane) and Lelah Ruske. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
