George Posthuma Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Posthuma (Waupun, Wisconsin), born in Friesland, Wisconsin, who passed away on January 4, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Posthuma and Della Posthuma (Cupery); and his siblings, Sam Posthuma (Ruth), Edna Cupery (Rudy), Effie Braaksma (Norm) and Marion Bandaski (Duane).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Cupery; his children, Nancy Braaksma (Duane) of Green Lake, Mitch Posthuma (Mary) of Camden, SC, Fredrick Posthuma (Brenda) of Beaver Dam, Guy Posthuma (Donna) of Waupun, George Posthuma (Renee) of Fond and Lac; his grandchildren, Aimee Houchin (Todd), Chad Braaksma (Kristina), Tracy Kastner (Cory), Mitch Posthuma (Colleen), Josh Posthuma (Denise), Joe Posthuma (Cinthia), Rachel Hill (Josh), Shawn Posthuma and Dirk Posthuma; his brother Clarence Posthuma (Leona); and his sisters-in-law, Donna Tavs (Wayne), Marge Cupery and Mary Voelz (Bill). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in George's name to Agnesian Healthcare Hospice or the First Reformed Church of Waupun.
