He is survived by: his children, Nona Wondra (Dan) of LeRoy and George H. "Butch" Strohbusch Jr. of Texas; his grandchildren, Angie Meyer, Mandy Hurt, Todd Hintz (Amy), Nicholas Hintz and Chelse Lindley (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Clay, Olivia, Haley, Adam, Natalie, Lydia, Brieanna, Luella and Teagan; his great great grandchildren, Case and Nautica; his stepchildren, John Schmitt (Sandra), Bonnie Guenther (Kenneth), Susan Ebert (Gerald), Nancy Hussli, Roy Schmitt (Christine), Frieda Kern, Cynthia Kadinger, Marilea Groves (Patrick), Gina Oemig (Andrew) and Leon Schmitt Jr. (Annette); and his sister Maureen "Cookie" Lookman (Joe Masche) of Beaver Dam. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
