He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Soodsma and Josie Dykstra Soodsma; his wife Dena (Venhuizen); his children, Kristin Gibbons (John) of Waukesha, Douglas Soodsma (Heidi) of Two Rivers and Andrew Soodsma of Waupun; his grandchildren, Levi Soodsma (Brittney), Lydia Soodsma, Samuel Gibbons, Jacob Gibbons and Emma Gibbons; his siblings, Sid Soodsma, Winky Dobbratz (Jon), Joanne Buwalda (Larry), Connie Hopp (Dave), Gerri Buteyn (Richard), Sharon Harmen and Henry Soodsma; and his sister-in-law Helen Soodsma. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
