He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bentz and Lela Brandt Bentz; his wife Elaine Hammer; and his brothers, Lee Bentz, Bill Bentz, Lester Bentz and Russell Landsinger.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Rank (Rick) of Randolph and Rick Bentz (Sue) of Waupun; his grandchildren, Jenna Frens (Levi) of Waupun, Jarek Bentz of Waupun, Nelson Rank of Randolph and Kolin Rank of Randolph; his great grandchild Linden Frens; and his brother Tony Bentz (Karen) of Beaver Dam.
