It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Darwin Berndt of Waupun, Wisconsin, who passed away on December 6, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Berndt and Ruth Berndt (Kirchoff); and his brother-in-law Paul Zamzow. He is survived by: his wife Susan Berndt; his daughter Becky Happell (Greg) of Winneconne; his grandchildren, Jonathan Duer of Waupun, Kimberly Duer and Tabitha Sass of Menasha; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Sass, Leon Hage, Leanna Due and Caroline Duer; his sister Louise Zamzow of Ripon; and his brothers-in-law, Joe McCullough (Sue) and Leslie McCullough (Mary). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many special friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pella Lutheran Church (315 S Madison St, Waupun, WI 53963). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at the North Burnett Union Cemetery.
