He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clement II and Ada Boyd Neher II; his wife Judy Wirick; his children, SGT Andrew Neher, Paul Neher (Sarah) and Laura Peterson (Wayne); his grandchildren, Brianna, Venessa Neher, Samantha Frinzi and Indigo Leigh; and his siblings, Robert Neher (Jan), Steven Neher (Deb), David Neher, Ann Faylor (Tim), Martha Neher (David Culver), Mary Beth Christen (Gary) and Rita Hecht.
