He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice "Bernie" Vis and Wilma "Billie" Vis (Bagget); his sister Marilyn; and his brothers-in-law, Don Darnick and Tom Coburn.
He is survived by: his sons, Andrew Vis (Jessica), Mitchell Vis (Jenna) and Anthony Vis (Becky); his grandchildren, Tenley, Blake, Grady, Griffin, Ezra, Eliza, Tucker, Miles and Emery Vis; and his siblings, Frances Kalupa (Cliff), Norma Coburn, Doris Miller (Roger), Nancy Witthun (Dennis), Linda Darnick, Arlene Abel (Allen), Sally Kok (Duane) and Earl Vis (Julie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
