He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Mittelstaedt and Helen O. Anderson Mittelstaedt; his brother Paul Mittelstaedt; his stepson Tim Bremmer; his niece Stacy Mittelstaedt; and his stepdaughter-in-law Jessica Bremmer.
He is survived by: his wife Caren Mittelstaedt of Waupaca; his son Robert Mittelstaedt (Kara) of Neenah; his stepson Sandy Bremmer of Waupaca; his sister Judy Anderson (Rick) of Platteville; his granddaughter Madeline Mittelstaedt of Neenah; and his stepgrandson Jacob Toftum of Iola-Scandinavia. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
