He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert Lyons (Bob), Barb Lyons, Ercel McPeak and Joyce McPeak; and his uncles, Bobby Lyons, Daniel Nelson and Matthew Erickson.

He is survived by: his parents, Larry Lyons and Janice Lyons (McPeak); his brother Christopher Lyons; and his aunts and uncles, Jerry Lyons (Karen), Judy Krassman (Ken), Cathy Nelson, Shari Erickson, Cindy Christensen (Steve), Tom McPeak (Annette) and Julie Waltz (Todd). He is also survived by cousins and dear friends.
