He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond E. Toftum and Leona I. Toftum (Boelter); his parents-in-law, Ron and Helen Smith; his grandson Sammy Ray Burgoyne; his siblings-in-law, Shelley Toftum, Char Smith, Ted and Hank Smith; his nephew Jessie Kimball; and his pet Sammy.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Smith-Toftum of Waupaca; his daughters, Lori O'Brien (Andy) of Amherst, Jess Bremmer (Sandy) of Waupaca, Nikki Johnson (Carl) of Waupaca, Amy Jo (Barney) of Scandinavia and Jenny Orr of Waupaca; his grandchildren, Jacob McMullen (Nicole), Hannah Wilson (Charles), Dawson O'Brien, Owen O'Brien, Luke O'Brien, Breleigh O'Brien, Wyatt Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Jax Burgoyne and George Nelson; his great grandchildren, Barrett Jeffrey and Brecken Jack; his brothers, Dan Toftum (Barb) of Amherst and Jerry Toftum (Kay) of Weston; and his siblings-in-law, Tony Smith of Waupaca, Brian Smith (Terri) of Waupaca, Perry Smith (Heather) of Waupaca, Rodney Smith of Greenville, NC, Annie Nicewander of Manawa, Pat Arnold (Paul) of Manawa, Margaret Bertram (Dan) of Waupaca and Kathie Smith of Waupaca. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.
