He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Brauner Sr. and Emily; his parents-in-law, Oscar and Edna Anderson; his brother John; and his great grandchild Rylan Brauner.

He is survived by: his wife Vione S. Brauner; his sons, David of Broadhead, Daniel and Douglas of Madison, Wis.; his brothers, Michael and Eugene of Minnesota; and his siblings-in-law, Virgil Anderson (Barbara) and Sharon Johnson. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
