He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Wendt and Elda Wendt (Strey). He is survived by: his wife Karen Robinson; his daughters, Holly Wendt (John Dykhoff) of Minneapolis, MN and Kim Knutson of La Crosse, WI; his grandsons, Sam Kinderman (Cara) of Wauwatosa, WI and Ross Kinderman of St. Paul, MN; his great grandchild Simon Kinderman; and his siblings, Mary Johanknecht of Waupaca, WI, David Wendt (Jo) of Chevy Chase, MD and Steven Wendt (Vickie) of Waupaca, WI. He is also survived by many other relatives and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church's Emergency and Relief Fund or the Waupaca Lions Club.
