He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Braunger and Mary Catherine Braunger (Dyer); his wife Lujean Braunger; his stepmother Sundae Braunger; his brothers, Jim and Mike Braunger; and his sister-in-law Florine Koning.

He is survived by: his children, Mary Drucker (Alex) of Madison, WI and Dave Braunger (Patty) of Minneapolis, MN; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Devrah, James and Alexis; his siblings, John (Jane) of Portland, OR, Mark (Mickey) of Mesa, AZ, Ed (Barb) of Mesa, AZ, Mary Beth of Sioux City, IA, Patti of Portland, OR and Molli Mahon (Rob) of Sioux City, IA; and his sister-in-law Pat of Iowa City, IA. He is also survived by numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
