He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leland Smiley and Eleanor Smiley (Green); his wife Karen Smiley of Waunakee; his daughters, Wendy Smiley Matney (Alan) of Alexandria, VA and Deanna Smiley Gulliford (Michael) of Minneapolis, MN; his sisters, Barbara Bishop (Robert) and Kathleen Krueger; his grandsons, Liam, Thomas Matney, Maxwell and Carson Gulliford; and his stepson Mike Hundley.
