He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Kessler and Mildred Kessler (Cohen); his former wife Jessica Kessler; and his close friends, Kay Taube and Karen Goldamer.
He is survived by: his children, Elise McFarlane (Jason), Florica Kessler, Michael Kessler (Justine), Christian Kessler and Peter Kessler; and his granddaughters, Abigail McFarlane, Anna McFarlane and Natalie Kessler. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made in Stephen's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
