He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Richard (Sue), Paul and Teresa Strauss (John); his stepgrandson Nicholas Strauss (Melissa); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Dominic and Lilly; his grandchildren, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Karson and Aydin; his siblings, Romie, Jim Ellen (Mary), Joan Cavanaugh, Eileen Statz (Herb), Joe (Katie), Mary Finger, Bill (Carol) and Helen Radue (Dennis); and his brother-in-law Eugene Esser. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, family and friends.
