It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Maxine L. Herek of Waunakee, Wisconsin, born in Amherst Junction, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Brown and Lela Brown (Brooks); her husband Hank Herek; and her son Scott Herek. She is survived by: her family Maxine; her daughter Jodi Tarala (Jim) of Waunakee; her granddaughters, Kaitlyn Sullivan (Conor) of New Hope, MN, Kassidy Tarala (Sam Burns) of Minneapolis, MN and Sarah Herek of Marquette, MI.; and her sister June Lila (Dave) of Plover. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
