It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lorraine Annette Helmke of Waunakee, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Weger and Thora Weger (Mork); her husband Rodney Helmke; and her son-in-law Walter Hermanns. She is survived by: her children, Randy Helmke, Lynn Helmke and Mark Helmke (Sherri); her grandchildren, Shawn Hermanns (Kayla), Laura Hermanns, Emily Helmke, Alec Helmke (Sydney Geiger) and Olivia Helmke; and her great grandchildren, Bennett Hermanns and Braxton Hermanns. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care (5203 Monona Dr, Monona, WI 53716). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Roselawn Memorial Park (401 Femrite Dr, Monona, WI 53716).
