We bid farewell to LeRoy E. Mellum of Waunakee, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 27, 2025 at the age of 87. LeRoy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Milo Mellum and Wilma Mellum (Anderson); his sister Carol Ramsden (Vincent); and his brother-in-law Dean Putz. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his siblings, JoAnn Putz and Dave Mellum (Barb); his stepdaughters, Debbie Gore (Rich) and Brenda Decker; his former wives, Barbara and Beatrice "Betty"; his stepson Randall "Randy" Burrington; and also, Bruce Waddell (Lora), Susan Halsey (Peter) and Brett Waddell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, step-grandchildren and great step-grandchildren, cousins and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakeview Lutheran Church (4001 Mandrake Rd, Madison, WI 53704). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Otter Creek Cemetery.
