He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. Zander and Loretta I. Zander (Kerl); his great-grandparent Otto Kerl; his grandfather Henry M. Zander; his wife Jeri; his children, Debra Lynn Herr and Henry Michael Zander; his grandson Matthew Breunig; his in-laws, Cyril and Gertrude Knipschield; his siblings-in-law, Sylvester "Bubs" Eckstein, Kenneth Knipschield and Marcia Knipschield Clifton; and also Rita Eckstein.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Zander (Steve Atelski) of Speedway, IN, Linda Zander Beck (John) of Birmingham, AL, Lori Hadfield (Tom) of Waunakee and Lisa Grueneberg (Ken) of Monona; his grandchildren, Michelle, Nicole, Danielle, Meghan, Michael, John, Michele, Katie, Sarah, Emily, Kia and Kelly; and his brother-in-law Dale Knipschield (Maureen). He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (2947 Thinnes St, Cross Plains, WI 53528).
