She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Werner Bernards and Christine Bernards (Ubersetzig); her husband Joe; her children, Mike (Julie), Jill Weber (Mike) and Christi Niesen (Brian); her grandchildren, Mark (Shani), Bob, Lyndsey Meyer, Andrew (Mollie), Tyler Weber, Jeff (Elaine), Garrett, Sarah, Levi (Mikaela), Cara, Matthew, Hannah and Stephanie Niesen; her siblings, Paul Bernards (Dolores), Carole Stangler and Jenne Weichmann (Bob); and her brothers-in-law, Ralph Meyer and Dan Meyer.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Cancer Research Institute or Compassus Living Foundation.
