He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara J. Johnson; his daughters, Rebecca and Betty Johnson; his brothers, Marvin and Wallace Johnson; and his parents, Oscar Johnson and Jennie Johnson.

He is survived by: his children, C. Scott Johnson (Patricia) and Sally Johnson (Mike Hinton); his granddaughters, Katie Richgels (Scott) and Laura Breyman (Chad); and his great grandchildren, Quinn, Nile Breyman and Aiden Richgels. He is also survived by his family, friends.
