He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Thomas and Deloras Thomas; his wife Pam; his stepdaughter Kyla Meade; and his sisters, Evelyn Dittmann and Joyce Rupp.
He is survived by: his children, Misty Thomas, Robert Thomas (late Lisa), David Thomas (Debra) and Audra Thomas-Ryan (Tony); and his grandchildren, Shannon Thomas, Alison Thomas, Michelle Thomas, Tanya Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Samantha Lawrence, Carl Andersen, Kyle Andersen, Andrew Schwochert and Justin Schwochert. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
