He is survived by: his wife Lynn Scharf (Gumpert); his children, Derek Scharf (Libby), Kim Utschig (Hector Velasco) and Nina Weatherford; his grandchildren, Alice Velasco Utschig, Logan Scharf and Olivia Scharf; and his siblings, Christine Clemence (Greg), Susan Gerard and Thomas Scharf. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
