She was predeceased by: her parents, Norbert Berschdorf and Maria Berschdorf (Natsch); and her sister Renata Berschdorf. She is survived by: her husband William; her sons, Dr. Jerome Esser (Kathleen) and Christopher Esser (Lynn); her grandchildren, Jonathan, Alexander, Ellen, William, Julia and Emma; and her sister Angela Piessens (Luc).

In place of flowers, Veronica suggests memorials to her two favorite charities: The MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary (https://www.mbsanctuary.org) in Milwaukee, or Food for the Poor.
