He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Warnecke and Helen Warnecke; his mother-in-law Janice Leibl; and his sister-in-law Joyce Warnecke. He is survived by: his wife Mary Warnecke of Watertown; his children, Bethany Gurgel (Brad) of St. Peter, Darin Warnecke of Sturgis and Philip Warnecke (Staci) of Longwood, Florida; his grandchildren, Kayla, Mason, Elianna and Aiden Gurgel; his siblings, Judy Lemke (Dennis), Rev. Richard Warnecke (Jule) and John Warnecke; and his father-in-law Henry Leibl. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
