He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell LaPoint and Ella LaPoint; his brother Richard LaPoint; and his grandson Tyler Koch. He is survived by: his wife Diane Raddatz; his daughters, Wendy Koch (Dan) of Madison and Anne Klug (Jim) of Jefferson; his grandsons, Brent Koch of Madison, Brian Klug (Barbra) of Cedarburg and Jeff Klug (Kristina) of Fitchburg; and his brothers, Ron LaPoint (Carol) of Oshkosh, Roger LaPoint of Oshkosh, Ralph LaPoint (Margie) of Onalaska and Ray LaPoint (Julie) of Madison.
In his later years, he particularly enjoyed social events at the Watertown Elks Club and sharing breakfast and pearls of wisdom with cherished friends six mornings a week, an activity that only stopped once the pandemic hit.
