She was predeceased by: her father John Mackovich; her grandparents, Roland, Emma Groth, Dan and Helen Young; and her brother Clifford.

She is survived by: her mother Patricia Groth (Young); her siblings, Danielle Bower of Addison, TX, Jean-Paul Mackovich (Terri) of Pittsburgh, PA, Helen Calaiaro (Donald) of Pittsburgh, PA and Charlotte Groth of Watertown; her nieces and nephews, Abdullah (Lauren), Sewar, Raya, Amir AbuNuwar, Lauren, Mia, Ella Mackovich, Nathan, Courtney Groth, Andrea Smith (Jonathan), Anthony, Nicholas (Sara), Michael Calaiaro and Hayley Smulders; and her goddaughter Heidi Dunham. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

“We are so saddened by the sudden death of our friend and neighbor. We are so sorry for your loss and ours. We loved Mitch and she loved our family. She was very sweet to us, she loved sharing food she made and always letting us know of TV programs we might enjoy watching.
