He is survived by: his wife Nena Hertel of Watertown; his sons, Francis of Watertown, Christopher of Watertown and John of Watertown; his brothers, David W. Hertel (Lynette), Joseph Hertel (Ellyn), James Hertel (JoAnne) and Peter Hertel (Kari); and his sister-in-law Purisima Hertel. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
