He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Bent and Juanita Bent (Newman); and his brothers, Clymouth, Eddie and Herbert.
He is survived by: his wife Lisa Piddington; his children, Shannon Bent, Jessica Rhodes, Sherron Bent (Jennifer), Calen Bent (Carrie), Kianna Bent and Sarah Jimieson (Griffin); his grandchildren, Ontario Fraizer (Shareika), Anton Rhodes, Natalia Sanders, Mikalah Seay, Mya Seay, Cazhmere Rhodes, Monteja Telfered, Kavon Bent, Taliyah Collins, Camden Bent, Kylin Bent, Cadin Bent, Calen Bent Jr. and Cashton Bent; and his siblings, Gerald, Margaret, Barbara, Alice, Tracy, Eunice and Clifford. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
