He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen France and Viola France (Meyer); his siblings, Allen Jr. and Shirley Ziehme; his nephew Dale "Putz" Rennhack; and his pets, Snickers, Jeter and Pickles.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Mae; his daughter Debra Lynn France (Joy Wallner); his brothers, Richard (Helen) and Douglas (Susan); and his great-nephew Anthony Bublitz. He is also survived by many other in-laws and nieces and nephews.
