He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Winkler and Delores Winkler. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Lange of Madison, Brandi Ruder (Scott) of Chenequa, Jaymes Winkler of Portage and Valerie Winkler of Watertown; his grandchildren, Dillon Ruder and Madyson Ruder; and his siblings, Gary Winkler (Beth) of Watertown, Mike Winkler (Carolyn) of Pennsylvania and Sharon Winkler of Watertown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
