He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Sauer and Elsie Sauer; his former wife Josie; and his siblings, Alan and Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Boge of Rio; his granddaughter Kristine; his great grandchild Emily; his children, Terry Sauer (Anne Ranguette) of Waterloo and Kristine Buedler of Watertown; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Steven, Greg, Eddie, Colleen, Amanda and Rachel; his sister-in-law Agnes Dixon of Oquawka, IL; and his friends, Shane, Kyle Marquardt, Alice and Scott Thompson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials, if desired, may be directed to Bonnet Prairie Lutheran Church, Rio; Disabled Vets; or the charity of one's choice.
