She was predeceased by: her parents, George Kohls and Katherine Kohls; her spouse Merlin W. Ewert; her son David; her sisters, Jackie Heller and Rose Christian; and her in-laws, Willard Christian, Merlin, Phyllis Feller, Vernon, Beverly Ewert, Veronica Ewert and Betty Kramer.
She is survived by: her children, Wendy Talajkowki (Jerome) of Hartford, Jack (Kathleen) of Watertown and Donald of Milwaukee; her grandchildren, Cory Ewert (Linda), James Conrad (Micole), Keith Ewert (Tanya), Amy Jacobson (Ron Urick) and Carrie Peplinski (Reed); her great grandchildren, Melissa Parks (Nate), Courtney Humphries (Cooper), Jordan Ewert, Julia Harr (Boyce), Cassidy Yuenger (Zachariah), Alisha Peplinski, Kelsey Ewert, Blake and Austin Peplinski; her great great grandchildren, Drake, Aurora Parks and Carter Humphries; her brother-in-law Roy Ewert; and her close friends, Kent, Laura, Ben Zautner, Abby, John Ziegler, Jane Peil and Marlys Freimark. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. John's church, Lakeside Lutheran High School or the charity of one's choice.
