She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio Montes and Ricarda Montes (Lazarin); and her brother Guillermo Montes Lazarin. She is survived by: her husband Juventino Velez, Sr.; her children, Juan M. Velez (Virginia) of Watertown, Eunice M. Ollarzabal (Guadalupe) of Watertown, Yolanda Velez (Juan Chavez) of Watertown, Mirna N. Velez of Watertown and Juventino Velez, Jr. of Watertown; her grandchildren, Chayanne Ollarzabal, Lydia Ollarzabal, Naomi Ollarzabal, Alyanna Ollarzabal, Valeria Velez, Viridiana Velez and Viviana Velez; her great grandchildren, Emilio Gonzalez and Ariela Gonzalez; and her siblings, Angel Montes (Maricela Chavez) of Acuña, Coah, Carolina Montes (Mario Gonzalez) of Norias Nieves, Zac Mexico, Alejandra Montes (Artemio Alvarado) of Reynosa Tamlps, Antonio Montes (Claudia Salinas) of Indianapolis, IN and Guillermina Montes (Oscar Garcia) of Houston, TX. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
