He is survived by: his parents, Daniel Zabel and Jane Zabel; his wife Becky; his daughters, Eliza and Penelope; the parent of his children Erin Lynch; his son Felix Zabel; his brother John Zabel; his mother-in-law Bonnie Higgins; and his siblings-in-law, Carrie Higgins, Robert Higgins (Janell Libick), Michael Higgins (Nicole), Jacob Higgins (Crystal) and Daniel Higgins (Brenda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
