He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilmer Diels and Mildred Diels. He is survived by: his wife Karen Diels of Watertown; his children, Bill Diels of Beaver Dam, Kylie Diels (Sarah M.) of Beaver Dam and John Diels of Randolph; his grandchildren, Callie Diels, Courtney Diels, Morgan Diels, Sydney Diels and Jacob Diels; and his siblings, Charlie Diels (Nancy) of Beaver Dam and Lorraine Moats (Marty) of Virginia. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the family.
