He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Schramm and Esther Schramm (Schlesner); his stepmother Evangeline; his siblings, Robert Schramm, James Schramm and Judy Polensky (Robert); and his brother-in-law Joe Richter.

He is survived by: his wife Genie; his former wife Georgene Schramm (Perry); his grandsons, Vincent Janecky (Carmen) of Middleton, Marcus and Lucas Schramm of Watertown; his great grandchildren, Owen and Nora Janecky; his sister Myrna Richter of Ixonia; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce Schramm and Sylvia Schramm.

He had endured his struggle with Parkinson's disease and other ailments for 10 years.
